Overview

Description

  • An aneroid sphygmomanometer is a type of blood pressure cuff used to measure a person’s blood pressure. It is often paired with a stethoscope for auscultation (listening to internal sounds).
  • This device is frequently used in clinical settings, medical offices, and even by healthcare professionals at home.

  • Inflate the Cuff: Use the inflation bulb to pump the cuff until the pressure is about 20-30 mmHg higher than the expected systolic pressure. You may need to estimate the systolic pressure based on the person’s condition (e.g., 140 mmHg).

  • Deflate the Cuff and Listen: Sl
